As you take in the expansive view of Lake Sammamish – a true 'blue space' – collaborating artists Katrina Surdi and Nate Jorgenson will guide you through an immersive sound experience. Bring your towel, mat, or chair and simply be present. Allow the resonant vibrations to wash over you in this spectacular outdoor setting.
Research increasingly highlights the benefits of 'blue space' – natural environments featuring water – for our well-being. The expansive view of Lake Sammamish, combined with the fresh air and natural rhythms of the water, actively cultivates a sense of calm, inviting you to reconnect with yourself and the beauty of nature. This serene environment enhances the restorative power of the sound bowls, guiding you to an even deeper state of well-being.
Issaquah Arts is thrilled to continue to partner with Nate Jorgenson and Katrina Surdi. Beginning with the Labyrinth of Lanterns in 2024, together we've created a regular rhythm of celebrating the seasons with sound baths.
Nate Jorgenson, founder of Nate Jorgenson Yoga, blends the transformative power of sound healing vibrations with his extensive yoga practice. As a Reiki Master and RYT200 Yoga instructor specializing in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Restorative Yoga, Nate’s intuitive sound healing, featuring crystal singing bowls, infused gemstones, and tuning forks, promotes relaxation, emotional release, and a deeper spiritual connection.
Katrina Surdi, founder of Kami Soul Healing, brings a deeply personal approach to her work. Having transformed her own experiences with grief and trauma into a powerful journey of healing, Katrina discovered profound self-discovery through yoga, sound healing, hypnotherapy, and meditation. This realization fuels her passion for guiding others on their own healing paths.
