In addition to Village Theatre, Issaquah has a Philharmonic orchestra, a dance ensemble that performs the Nutcracker, and a Film Festival.
Many don't know about these groups. Access to space is difficult, and local creatives find themselves working, practicing and performing outside of Issaquah.
ISSAQUAH ARTS EXPANDS CREATIVE CAPACITY
Issaquah Arts emerged organically through the work of people connected through the Issaquah Arts Commission, Issaquah Schools Foundation, and the Issaquah Creative District.
From different perspectives, each could see the need for a dedicated organization to support and revitalize Issaquah's creative economy.

ADVOCACY + COMMUNITY
"The prominence of the performing arts center adjacent to the main entry, expresses the school’s commitment to community engagement. Along with performing arts, the gym and all of the schools public spaces occupy the east portion of the building; they are clearly delineated for visitors and accessed through the central commons that acts as a lobby to each. The Performing Arts Center contains a 600 seat main house and a stage with a partial fly loft. Equipped with technically sophisticated rigging and lighting, the theater will be an asset to the school and vibrant local performing arts community.”
