Issaquah Arts x Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park
Summer Solstice through the Autumn Equinox
Natural and built environments shape our experience and our emotions. We can create space to cultivate a sense of calm, and places to inspire awe.
Discover the healing power of 'blue space' and sound. Join artists Katrina Surdi and Nate Jorgenson for evenings of resonant vibrations designed to instill a sense of calm and introspection, each session starting at 7 PM within the expansive natural setting at the shore of Lake Sammamish.
Saturday, June 21st (Summer Solstice)
Saturday, July 19th
Saturday, August 16th
Saturday, September 20th (Autumn Equinox Celebration)
This series reflects Issaquah Arts' mission to create more spaces for art and unique experiences in our community, presented in partnership with Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park.
Important: A Discovery Pass is required for parking.
Issaquah Arts emerged organically through the work of people connected through the Issaquah Arts Commission, Issaquah Schools Foundation, and the Issaquah Creative District.
From different perspectives, each could see the need for a dedicated organization to support and revitalize Issaquah's creative economy.
"The prominence of the performing arts center adjacent to the main entry, expresses the school’s commitment to community engagement. Along with performing arts, the gym and all of the schools public spaces occupy the east portion of the building; they are clearly delineated for visitors and accessed through the central commons that acts as a lobby to each. The Performing Arts Center contains a 600 seat main house and a stage with a partial fly loft. Equipped with technically sophisticated rigging and lighting, the theater will be an asset to the school and vibrant local performing arts community.”

Issaquah Philharmonic Orchestra, Master Chorus Eastside, and Issaquah Dance Theater are all based in Issaquah.
The problem is - they’re not performing regularly in Issaquah.
